Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has unveiled a brand new single ‘Matadors & Daughters’, the first to be released from his upcoming second solo album Astral Hand. You can check out the new track via the Soundcloud link below.

Borland’s solo material and side projects have always been far removed from his work with nu-metal titans Limp Bizkit, and this new single is no exception. At over 7 minutes in length it’s certainly no catchy pop number, as if Borland wanted to make it clear that this music is not intended for fans of his more accessible work.

Full of strange, otherworldly sounds and mysterious looped vocals, this is one for those who like their music experimental and weird. The hypnotic nature of the song means it’s probably ideal for just zoning out to, or putting on in the background while you read or work. If you like what you hear, check out the B-Side ‘Arcturus’ (also streaming below), a trippy 12-minute instrumental with some serious grooves.
