Mallory Knox released their latest album Wired earlier this year, breaking into the Top 20 of the UK Album Charts. Now the band are back with their new single ‘Sugar’, complete with the massive singalongs we’ve come to know and love from the five-piece. Despite it’s exterior, the song is actually one with a darker lyrical theme.
The song is “about feeling completely isolated and alone in a world where it feels like everyone has someone to lean on except you. You’re driven to a point of desperation, which makes you feel that having someone for a very short period of time (ie. a one night stand) is better than having no one at all,” explains bassist and songwriter Sam Douglas.
