Florida’s finest Trivium have announced that they’ll be bringing their Silence In The Snow tour back to the UK and Ireland next February, followed by a string of European dates.

Frontman Matt Heafy had this to say: “The UK was the first place to embrace Trivium on the planet, and Europe was the first home for Trivium playing internationally way back in 2003. It’s our honour to be able to complete the ‘Silence In The Snow’ album tour in the UK and Europe; we have had some of the most integral and historic moments of our career in both spots, and we look forward to celebrating our love of music with all of you. See you very soon!”

The metallers will be hitting the following UK and Ireland venues:

Sat 11th Feb – DUBLIN Academy, Ireland
Sun 12th Feb – BELFAST Limelight, Northern Ireland
Tue 14th Feb – BIRMINGHAM Institute, England
Wed 15th Feb – MANCHESTER Academy, England
Thu 16th Feb – GLASGOW Barrowlands, Scotland
Fri 17th Feb – LONDON Roundhouse, England
Sat 18th Feb – NOTTINGHAM Rock City, England

It was Trivium’s second album ‘Ascendancy’ which skyrocketed the band’s career, and the one which made the UK embrace them wholeheartedly with open (and sweaty) arms. Although it’s home to many of Trivium’s ‘classics’, there are several absolute beasts in the band’s back catalogue  that we’d be absolutely stoked to hear live that are NOT on their sophomore. Here’s our top five: [/tps_header]

‘In Waves’

IIIINNNN WAAAAAAAAAVESSSSSS!!! From the moment Matt Heafy roars these words, to the breakdown-heavy riff, to that epic chorus, In Waves is a sprawling monster. An unusual departure from their regular style, this track is one of Trivium’s most compelling and experimental songs to date.
