Alt-rock upstarts Phoenix Calling have let us bring you their new video for ‘Rescue Me’ before anyone else!
The more stripped back track saw them working with producer Lee Batiuk, who might be familiar to you Deaf Havana fans.
As vocalist Steve Chapman explains, the song focuses on some pretty personal stuff:
“Rescue Me was written after seeing a Facebook post by our bass player’s father in remembrance of his Dad who had recently passed away. The words were so poetic, honest and heart felt, that I always felt there was a song in there. The song is about loss, memories, reminiscence and being able to find yourself after losing a close friend. Life is short and we should hang onto the times that mean the most to us.”
If the video has got your pulse racing, you can catch the band live at these upcoming festivals:
July 2nd – Festival Too, Kings Lynn supporting The Vamps
July 10th – Willow Fest, Peterborough
August 27th – Redhill Rocks, Ratcliffe on Soar
