In the sphere of rock and metal, Download wears the crown for the genres most infamous festival; lineup additions, omissions, and positions often dominate discussion for the months leading up to the weekend in Donnington. This all comes with a very little surprise, arguably no festival in existence has been the birthplace to more defining moments in a bands career than Download (remember Slipknot in 2009?). With some fairly recent lineup additions we thought we'd sift through and give you some pointers on who not to miss out on come June.
Stray From The Path
No nonsense hardcore that verbally abuses the ills of this world, ready made for festival performances right? Stray’s straight up refusal to write songs that sit on the fence has helped them become one of the most beloved bands of their genre. More than just a bunch of hardcore gents looking to play some angry music though, there are legitimate musical intricacies in their tones which makes most of their songs bleed across so well, it’s gonna be an aggressive 40 minutes, but a very, very worth it one.
